Book Review

At first I wasn't sure that I would like this book; The Silent Patient seemed, for all intents and purposes, like just another generic psychological thriller. In many ways it was, but in other ways, it stood out because of its excellent characters and the depth of the story and its themes.

When I chose to read this book Once Again Love, I had no idea what I was going in for. This was the debut book for the author Sarita Mathur and I cannot help but say that I was fascinated. But that aside, this was a book filled with hauntingly beautiful poems.

Behind the Light tore through my analytical mind and burrowed deep into my ultra-sensitive soul. It slayed all my emotions, my desires, and my love for vulnerable writing. I may not know a lot about poetry, but I do know a decent amount about feelings, and Aahana Mulla brought all my feelings tumbling out with this gorgeous collection of poems.

What I love most about this book, Moment of Signal, is the zero nonsense it allows. I read this when I really needed a kick up the backside, and it did that. The book builds on the premise that the circumstances affect us not as much by how good/bad they are but how we react to them.

Love story of Commando is clean, classic romance, adventure and thrill tied in a package with a sweet ending. It's not just a regular romance book that we read, It's a of a girl in love with a commando in extraordinary situations.

'Who Stole My Job?' by Sunil Mishra was a most pleasant surprise. Discovering that the one and only goal of any business is making money and this could only be achieved by a smooth flow of the work and our most important management task is to prevent any resistance slowing it was eye opening.

A Man from Mandu is the story of Avishkar Baba, a new age Guru in town slowly gaining popularity. Instagram posts and WhatsApp daily quotes play pivotal roles in creating the hype behind this Baba.

Here in ‘Where Will Man Take Us?’, Atul Jalan presents a wonderful mish-mash of thoughts, comparisons, personal experiences, and research. The book was so stuffed full of ideas and I devoured them eagerly.

The central theme in Silver Hair Sins has been picked up: man managed to create an "inferior" version of man in order to make use of that product for their own benefit: as slaves, as company.

Completely compelling from the very first page Finding Myself is a beautifully written novel by Nandini Dhanani; an authentic and intriguing family drama that had me completely hooked.

Preeti Pathak's Enrich Life has taught me many valuable lessons, including what specific behaviors and thoughts comprise compassion, as well as how to apply those principles to myself. 

The Belated Bachelor Party by Ravinder Singh is way too witty and filled with sarcasm, this book is surely going to be one of your favorite books!The premise I got from reading the blurb was that there was an unexpected 'incident' during the bachelor party trip of four best friends to Europe.
