Book Review - Art of Stock Investing by Manikandan Ramalingam

Book Review: Art of Stock Investing by Manikandan Ramalingam

The stock market has always kind of scared me. Like many people, I knew almost nothing, except a few crashes that driven people crazy in the past, because they lost their fortunes. It seemed like gambling, but it isn’t. As someone who knows nothing at all about stocks and the stock market, this book explained everything perfectly. I read the book in one sitting and it was very interesting. I now have a basic grasp on stock investing and selling and learned way more than I thought I could in such a short amount of time.

Investing your money wisely is key to success. Investing in any form serves the same purpose, that is, to provide for the future. It is important for you and your family to have a solid financial foundation, and stock market investing is one of the best ways to do that. However, stock market investing can be confusing and daunting, especially for those who aren’t professional stockbrokers.

It speaks in layman terms and starts at the beginning. What is a stock? What is a stock exchange? Why do we invest in stocks? Where do we buy stocks and what happens when we put in our order? How do we get our profit and when do we get it? It gives tips on where to get recommendations for what stocks are hot and when to sell. It tells you how to read the market, the symbols and numbers, and what the SENSEX and NIFTY is. It’ll even walk you through setting up your online account to do your own trading.
