As a young girl, Bitte read an embroidery book that emphasized exploring the joys of life through needlework. Inspired by this, Bitte created a collection of creative embroidery motifs that capture the essence of the sweeter things in life, using real items and images as muses. This book’s patterns include:

Winding botanicals with intricate leafy stitchwork

Delicious cakes, cookies, and other baked goods

Wine, cheese, olives, and other wine-shop essentials

A darling arranged tea party

Colorful condiments and jarred goodies

Nature-adorned alphabet letters

Spring seed packets and gardening tools

And many more

Divided into six categories—flowers, sweets, market, alphabet, arrangements, and lessons—the designs range from simple to intricate, offering inspiration for embroiderers of all skill levels. Bitte shares her tried-and-true stitch instructions and material lists, giving beginners a jump start into their joyful embroidery journey. A selection of sewing projects—such as bags, pouches, and fabric thank-you cards—invites readers to expand their embroidery onto new canvases. With versatile patterns and individual lettering instructions, there are endless possibilities for creating and sharing your favorite things in stitched form.
