"Sometimes a life is what you must pay for redemption. Sometimes that life is your own."
In less than a day, Slater Arlion goes from his village’s best blacksmith to a man on the run with the most wanted woman in the empire. What was supposed to be a simple break-in of Berkand’s dungeon turns into a question of his sanity when he goes against all his rules.
As far as first dates go, a mysterious, masked man whisking her away after a prison break is a new one for Emorie Deldarhio. Despite their unconventional meet-cute, Emorie and Slater are left with only two options: form an alliance until they reach safety or risk being thrown back into the dungeon Slater just freed Emorie from. The choice is simple.
But what began as a survival method quickly turns messy when Emorie admits to being the leader of Huntsbane, the group of underground rebels opposing the rule of Emperor Huntilkhan. Despite initial skepticism, Slater agrees to help Emorie and the Huntsbane once he learns of Huntilkhan’s dangerous plans to acquire fae magic.
As Slater and Emorie hunt for proof of fae magic in the mortal realm while trying to avoid capture, they are also forced to contend with their undeniable attraction. When a drastic change of scenery interrupts their plans, the unlikely pair of rebels learns that sometimes a life is what one must pay for redemption. What they don’t realize is that life may be your own.
Huntsbane is an adult fantasy romance novel full of magic, spice, and the power of sacrifice.
