Ursula K. Le Guin (21 October 1929 – 22 January 2018) was an American fantasy and science fiction author. Best-known works include Earthsea series, The Left Hand of Darkness, The Dispossessed and The Eye of the Heron. Honours include Margaret Edwards Award, Prometheus Award - Hall of Fame and Grand Prix de l'Imaginaire for Best Foreign-Language Short Story.
