This book, Grocery Girl, is sweet, touching, oozing charm, full of wonderful, likable characters, and has a surprising amount of emotional depth and insight about love, loss and the tendency of people to put their hopes in things that may or may not always be as real as they think.

Every Star in the Sky is an intensely romantic story of the power of true love across time, across social conventions, and ultimately conquering all. The story is very simple and easy to read, but it captivates and touches the reader in a profound way. The love between Rebecca and Richard, from the time they first met to the end, is overwhelming.

The Glimpse is a novel that delves into the intricacies and angst that undoubtedly burns through some relationships - maybe none more so than mother and daughter. At its core, this story explores the notion that being a mother doesn’t mean being perfect; it comes down to love, sacrifice and sheer will.

One of the things I love about this book was the clarity with which it was written. There's nothing superfluous in Ofelia, nothing that shouldn't be there, and the flow, the pacing, is great. The author really puts you in the minds of the characters and in the settings and makes you fall in love or have a deep loathing for certain characters.

Douglas Vigliotti wrote a story with the perfect blend of humor, passion and drama. His writing just flowed and had me invested from the moment I began to read. There is a chance, when an author tells a story such as this, the male ends up being a bit of a doormat in part because of the situation he has found himself in.
