Myths of Old is the final installment to Krishnarjun Bhattacharya's Tantric Trilogy. If you haven’t read Tantrics of Old and Horsemen of Old, I would advise you not to read this installment until you have. Myths of Old's world is constantly evolving and author Krishnarjun doesn’t waste his time catching readers up to what they should already know, which I have to admit, is part of what I love about his writing.

While The Saga of Shom and Raima by Tapan Ghosh a typical love story involving a man discovering the woman of his dreams, the real weight of the entire plot lay in the last few pages. It lays a big emphasis on human choices when things go wrong. Most times, we humans tend to get carried away especially when the going is good. When it gets tough is what determines who we really are on the inside. It was sweet and cute at the beginning, romantic in the middle, agonizing at the near-end, and hopeful at the ending.

One Hundred Years of Solitude is considered by many as Marquez’s masterpiece and that alone says a lot- after all the man won a Nobel Prize. The novel tells the story of Macondo, a fictional town in Latin America, through the history of the Buendia family. The Buendias, generation after generation witnessed the rise, the glory and the fall of the mythical town they called home.

The Glass Hotel by Emily St. John Mandel starts with what appears to be a scene of Vincent’s final moments after falling off a ship. The 5 star luxury Glass Hotel was in Caiette, a small and remote part of Vancouver Island. It was owned by super wealthy Jonathan Alkaitis and part of the story was about his Ponzi scheme but also was about his ‘wife’ Vincent who disappeared from the deck of the ship Neptune Cumberland.
