Jeet Gian

the author of Father of the Bride-to-be

Date:

Father of the Bride-to-be by Jeet GianJitendra Gianchandani aka Jeet Gian was a happening person till he got married. He is a practicing Chartered Accountant and the chairman of JCA Consulting Group based in Dubai UAE since 2001. He hails from Kutch (yawn) Gujarat and has been living in Dubai since 1996 with his family – wife Divya, also a Chartered Accountant, daughter Falguni, pursuing CPA in Canada and son Krishna, a special needs child. His parents, brothers and other kith and kin (aargh!) live in Kutch.

Apart from writing (which started in 2012, at age 42), he has been passionate about fitness (started in 2009. at 39!), showing the signs of a midlife crisis (according to his wife Divya). Being a Gemini, a twin personality, his life has been on a rollercoaster; so has been the experience of the people living with him. He is disciplined, dedicated and consistent in his work, except he is unsure which side of the bed to get up from, in the morning!

Jeet is a published author of The 3 U-Turns of My Life and The Three Wise Monkeys, which were well-received across PAN India except by his wife!

TBE: Tell us about your book, can you share with us something about the book that isn’t in the blurb?

Jeet Gian: Obstacles, father and daughter face due to lying. And the lessons they learn, that shortcuts never work. Father and daughter are shocked to know the truth about the boy and his family with whom they hiding or lying with.

TBE: How did you get the idea of this book?

Jeet Gian: People lie or hide in their marriages. I just thought to write a story where everyone is hiding or lying to woo the other party.

TBE: What was your writing process for this book? What literary pilgrimages have you gone on?

Jeet Gian: I had a similar writing process for all three books I have written so far. I write daily, 4 to 5 hours, starting from 5 am for two hours, then 2/3 hours in the evening. I hope I answered your question correctly.

TBE: How did you research on the subject?

Jeet Gian: Internet, movies, newspapers and books. I read a lot, and also watch a lot of movies, I am writing movie scripts as well.

TBE: How long does it take you to write this book?

Jeet Gian: I started writing this book on 1st Jan 2015. Then I took a break from writing in 2017 and 1018 due to personal and business reasons. Eventually, I finished the book in 2019 but due to the Pandemic, I have to wait until 2022.

TBE: Do you read much and if so, who are your favorite authors?

Jeet Gian: Yes, as mentioned earlier I read a lot, humuor and Crime genres mostly. My favorite authors are Dave Barry and John Grisham

TBE: During your journey from the idea of this book to the publication, what was the most difficult thing you faced? Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

Jeet Gian: As a writer, I like to write without any limitations on the number of pages/words of the book. I struggle to edit or write short stories.

TBE: How did publishing your first book change your process of writing?

Jeet Gian: As I said earlier, my writing process has been the same throughout my three books. But I have become faster over time.

TBE: How was your publishing journey with Leadstart?

Jeet Gian: Very good. Leadstart‘s editing team was very patient and the marketing team was also very smart and cooperative.

TBE: What do you hope your readers take away from this book?

Jeet Gian: Not to lie to whom you love the most and not to use shortcuts in life.

TBE: Is there anything you are currently working on that may intrigue the interest of your readers?

Jeet Gian: Not yet finalized but yes, I will write a murder mystery, serial killer
