Book Review: Internet Moguls of the World by Avijit Arya
In this world, there are two types of people: those who ponder and those who act. ‘Internet Moguls of the World’ illustrates the latter, showing us that with enough desire and persistence, anything is possible. The advancement of our society depends on those who take action, and this book celebrates their contributions. Through the process of interviewing, Avijit Arya and his daughters will help you find answers that offer real life wisdom, insight, and an honest glimpse into the mindset of a true entrepreneur.
‘Internet Moguls of the World’ is a compilation of research, stories, and strategies that showcase innovative leadership through technology in a cutting-edge manner. With insights from information technology practitioners, leadership experts, technology consultants, and, of course, organization leaders, this book provides an insider’s perspective. The authors discuss best-practices for leaders to take their organizations to the next level as technology plays a greater role in leadership strategies. In this book, author Avi and his daughters delve inside the minds of today’s leaders and prescribe effective tools, solutions, and strategies designed to address the unique technology needs of any organization.
The author draws on his knowledge and experience to share the leadership values that can be considered to be the essence of business. Putting people first, bringing out human magic, and making a profit are all characteristics that corporate leaders should strive for. As a guide to putting these values into action, the book provides concrete guidance on how to serve as beacons of the new era of capitalism. These interviews help readers know what is out of date, incomplete, or just incorrect about management and leadership. The interview questions are focused on turning around a company, developing a vision and executing it, mobilizing an organization, and what it takes to be a successful leader.
Lots of people. Lots and lots of names, some familiar, many not. There were several things I appreciated about author’s approach. It is recurring theme in this book to talk about how nerdy talent generated ideas and contributed to innovation. Sometimes hearing about the eccentricities of this nerdy talent was as interesting as the innovations themselves. One of the biggest impressions left by the book is the sheer number of people that contributed to the digital revolution. Avijit Arya does a great job of calling out a whole bunch of them and diving into the details of what made them tick.
We’re all searching for success, but what does it actually mean? More than 50 entrepreneurs & executives share their answers and advice in ‘Internet Moguls of the World’. Find out how you can apply their success insights and methods into your own life! Take a look at the experiences of ordinary men and women who took destiny into their own hands and followed their entrepreneurial dreams. These entrepreneurs will show you that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. They teach us that failure is the pathway to success, a burning passion the essential fuel, and having a purpose bigger than ourselves leads to true fulfilment. But ultimately these interviews are required reading for anyone who wants to understand business.
